Mikvah Chaya Mushka is named in honor of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson;
wife of the seventh Lubavitcher rebbe (Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson), daughter of the sixth rebbe (Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn), and granddaughter of the fifth rebbe (Rabbi Sholom DovBer Schneersohn). As a child she fled persecution in Russia,
and as a young woman she escaped the Nazi invasion of France, settling with the
Rebbe in New York.
